You Better Know the History of Jelly Beans - Part 2!
As you might recall, jelly beans they became a popular favorite in the Reagan White House. Of all the famous people who loved the jelly bean throughout history none loved them more than Ronal Reagan, or at least none were so public about their love for this wonderful little candy bean. Back in those days it was not unusual to find Jelly Belly brand jelly beans in just about every room of the White House!
Another interesting fact is that jelly beans have even traveled into space. On the space shuttle Challenger in 1983, Jelly Belly beans were sent as a presidential surprise for the astronauts. Coincidentally, it was the same mission that boasted another bit of history— the first American female astronaut, Sally Ride.
